SAVOIR-FAIRE: NEW TAILORING
Suiting styles mingle effortlessly with the easy-going allure of a Downtown uniform. For this storied category, AMIRI employs the distinct savoir-faire of Italian artisans while offering up a modern interpretation of the métier. Challenging convention, classic suiting codes are reworked to emphasize an interplay of lightness and casual elegance. The diverse offer embraces softer lines on formal three-piece styles, easy California-inspired jackets shrugged over cabana sets, and everyday suits confidently styled with sneakers. -
SAVOIR-FAIRE: KNITWEAR
Knitwear at AMIRI presents an opportunity for further artistic expression via texture-play and intricate hand-woven techniques. Custom reliefs, like the INTARSIA or the label’s iconic bandana print, are knitted into each garment to enhance depth and originality. Bandanas are repurposed and hand-braided by artisans to create loose summer knits, a process that takes four days. While luxurious, Italian knitwear is given a street-smart makeover when explored as leisurewear styles like hoodies, pants, shorts and tanks, bringing AMIRI’s artisanal feel to everyday, easy-to-wear looks. -
SAVOIR-FAIRE: LEATHER
In Italian ateliers, the finest, locally sourced leathers are cut and constructed to create expertly fitted styles, such as the iconic perfecto, a jacket that moves with the wearer like a second skin. The leather universe continues to expand into a line-up of iconic bags, including the Micro M.A bag, with its silk bandana wrap-around handle and ‘MA’ monogram hardware, along with a broader collection of small leather goods, including belts, bags, and wallets.
-
SAVOIR-FAIRE: DENIM
Denim remains at the heart of the AMIRI story, with design and construction approached with the same level of care and detail as premium garments. Fabrics are treated with bespoke, in-house fabrication processes such as tonal gradients that appear to be bleached by the sun or lightened by water, and patchworking and repairing that evoke a homespun charm.Men's and women’s jean silhouettes are cut for all occasions, be it extra wide, skinny, carpenter style, the kickflare, with buttoned detail, or the denim and utility cargo styles, with functional, uniquely designed and sewn pockets. Reflecting the innovative way AMIRI flips traditional formalwear, the denim wear category is cleverly elevated.
-
SAVOIR-FAIRE: PRINTS
A graphic sensibility is imbued in the AMIRI offer where the novelty of a hand-finessed approach stands out. Signature graphics are treated like works of applied art, and bespoke motifs are often screen-printed by hand. Highly worked digital prints light up silks, while textural details, in the form of hand-embroidery, leather appliqué or painted touches, add to each garment’s unique appeal. -
SAVOIR-FAIRE: SNEAKERS
At AMIRI, the humble sneaker is recast as the finest footwear, cut from leather, supple suede, or Italian cotton canvas, and created with the level of studied craftsmanship fitting a dress shoe. A constant since the brand’s inception, the footwear serves as an anchor in each collection — adding an essential finesse that dresses down sharply tailored looks.
